Connected Coffee provides a platform for specialty coffee roaster to list their specialty coffee.
Note that there are certain requirements for quality, ethics, and sustainable practices that need to be met to be listed on our platform as a roaster.

How do the fees work?
Joining and listing on our platform is free.
Once an order is made, there is a flat transaction fee and a final value fee (final value is the sale price including tax less shipping costs).
For eligible roasters, for the first 30 days the final value fee will be 0%.

For roasters that have been approved to join our platform, there's a minimum 3-month commitment to be on our platform.

If your business has been selected for review by us, you will have a profile on Connected Coffee. Information about your business and products are imported from publicly available information and displayed under fair dealing copyright provisions.

Is there certain conditions to be a roasting partner?
Yes, there are three (3) main conditions.
1. Make the Coffee For Good Pledge
Before joining our platform, every one of our roasting partners commits the Coffee For Good Pledge, which is a promise to meet certain standards of ethical & sustainable practices, contributing to projects that will help end poverty & inequality and producing high-quality products & services.
2. Production & dispatch capacity
All roasters on our platform must be able to produce a minimum of 10kg per week for each coffee listed. Roasters must also guarantee that the coffee that is sent has been roasted within 48 hours of being dispatched.
3. Minimum 3 month commitment
For roasters that have been approved to join our platform, there's a minimum 3 month commitment to be on our platform.

Is there any hidden fees that I should know about?
No, it's pretty straightforward. There's zero setup or listing fees, and when a order is made via our site, a flat transaction fee and a Final Value fee is applicable.
Payouts via bank account are free and payouts to Paypal accounts incur a $1.00 transfer fee.
That's it.
As a bonus for the first few roasters that join our platform, the final value fee will be 0%. Meaning you can benefit from trying out our platform virtually risk-free.

What About Shipping? How does that work?
We'll cover the shipping costs for you, including the packing satchel.
When an order has been placed, we notify you by email as well as in your roaster's dashboard. Your dashboard comes enabled with our Simple Ship System - Simply print the shipping label + slip and pack the order in our provided satchels.
The selected courier will then come and pick up the packages for you at your convenience and your schedule.

Why be on the connected coffee platform vs any other platform?
Other platforms like Amazon and Ebay provide access to more potential buyers, however those buyers are usually not specifically shopping for specialty coffee.
Furthermore, bigger platforms charge more fees and you have to do all the listing and setup yourself. Most often, you also don't get any marketing or promotional services included in your listings.
We find that our roasting partners prefer to be on a platform focused on specialty coffee, find the services and support invaluable compared to the fees paid and encourage the collaboration and growth of the specialty coffee industry overall.
