Brew your filter coffee into a rich and syrupy cup with a French Press, or if you like to add milk use an espresso roast to make an elegant brew with ease.
This brewing method is straightforward and timeless, giving you a consistent cup with every brew.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- French Press
- Filter or Espresso Coffee
- Fill kettle and bring to boil.
- Rinse plunger glass and filter under hot water.
- Tip 20g coarsely ground coffee into bottom of the empty French Press.
Pour in 320g of near-boiling water into the center of coffee and gently mix coffee to make sure every particle is completely saturated.
Gently place plunger and lid on the French Press without pushing the plunger down. Leave to steep for 3:30 – 4:00 minutes.
Slowly push the plunger down until it sits just above the ground coffee. Try not to compress and agitate the ground coffee.
Please note: Your coffee will taste better if you let it cool down a little first! If you want to make more or less coffee, use the same recipe just make sure you keep it 1 part coffee to 16 parts water – or a 1:16 brew ratio.
